‘The Love Boat’ television series, which catapulted cruising to the forefront of
consumer consciousness.
The now-famous fleet of Love Boats has expanded.The line is now the third-largest in the
industry, based on market share. Purchased in 1974 by P&O, Princess began a course of
expansion and was operating four ships by 1984.
